VISION & MISSION

Who We Are

The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. was born to advance the welfare of its members to develop the prestige of civil engineering profession and to be a dynamic force in nation-building. The PICE Riyadh Chapter was a result of the drafted aspirations of founders Engr. Melvin R. Candelario and Engr. Orly Sotto who founded in 2003 the Order of Filipino Civil Engineers in Riyadh (OFCER). OFCER became the PICE-KSA Riyadh region Chapter when it was approved and chartered on December 17, 2004 by PICE National as its second international chapter. Seeking to establish and maintain a fraternal support system within general membership with the empowerment through its continuing professional development as its rallying pride, PICE-Riyadh has offered trainings and seminars on important topics such as project management, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, water engineering, and environmental energy engineering. The Chapter took greater heights when it started its review class program for under-board civil engineers in preparation for the Special Professional Licensure Examination (SPLE) which is being held yearly since 2010 in various cities in the Middle East, including Riyadh. Since then more PICE Riyadh Chapter civil engineers were registered with the Professional Regulatory Commission. Another milestones of the Chapter was the conduct of its first ever Writeshop on APEC/ASEAN/ACP Engineers Registers on March 4, 2016 which has since then produced (81) ASEAN Engineers, (7) APEC Engineers, and (2) ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineers (ACPE).
